(UNITED PKESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIRIQHT.) (Received July 16, 1 p.m.)

SYDNEY, This Day

A motor-car, ' containing ■ jewellery valued at £2600, the property of Mr. J. Roseberg, a wholesale jeweller, was stolen, in the city, and was later found abandoned at Stanmore. The robbery was of the most daring character. Mr. Roseberg left his motor-car in broad daylight in George-street, while he entered a shop. He was absent for ten minutes, and on returning found the car had disappeared. Before leaving it he had locked the switch-box, but the car fittings, being standardised, the thieves were able to unlock it.
