INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION
Mr. F. J. Evans presided over the monthly meeting of the committee of the Industrial Association last evening, when j general business was dealt with. i The secretary of the Wellington Master Plumbers' Association advised by letter that his organisation had decided not to affiliate with the Industrial Association for the present. . A letter from the chairman of the Efficiency Board referred to the shipment !of essential goods. It was referred to the secretary for him to send a suitable, reply. Concerning the association's invitation to workers in all registered industrial . unions to contribute essays on the question of the utilisation of waste products, it was reported that at the date of. closing the entries only one essay had been received, and this had been sent to Professor Eastei'fieldj who will advise the" association as to its merits. Mr. H. Mainland was appointed to represent the association as "a. member of the Vigilance Committee of the Mangahao Hydro-Electric League, which was to meet afPalmerskm North t.his afternoon.
