In the Supreme Court, Alfred Reed, a young man, was charged with indecent assault on a boy. The jury .disagreed, but on a second trial was found guilty and sentenced to five years' reformative treatment. Peter Tawa, a Maori, charged with stealing and receiving, was sentenced to two years' reformative treatment. Henry Simpeon, a Maori charged' with forgery and uttering at. Rotorua, received a sentence of two years' reformativß treatment.
