DELAY IN SOLDIERS' PAY
Complaints were recently published of delay in connection with the payment of soldiers who have returned from abroad. The Minister of Defence has received a report from the Claims Board stating that after enquiry, "the board is convinced that on the. whole the arrange-. n;ents of the War Expenses Department in the matter of soldiers' pay are satisfactory. The board, continues to find a readiness on the part of the officer in charge of the Department to rectify any irregularities brought under notice."
