CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS,

A meeting of the centre was held in the Wellington Bowling Clubhouse last evening. Mr. S. H. Underwood (president) was in the chair, and there was a large attendance of delegates. The .president took the opportunity of welcoming the Island Bay Club to the centre, and congratulated Mr, Harry Ballinger, its first delegate, on the club's enterprise, and wished "the hew arrival" a vigorous and happy career. Mr. Ballinger suitably replied. The chief business of the- meeting iwas the making of the draw for the series of Centre Champion of Champions matches, and the allocation of greens for the games. In consequence of the whole of the eighteen clubs in the centre signifying their intention of taking part, it' became necessary to have fourteen byes in the first round of each event, and so it was decided that the preliminary round should take place on the Tuesday preceding the Wednesday set down in the syllabus.
