END OF THE RUSSIAN ARMISTICE
GERMANS ATTACKING IN BALTIC PROVINCES
AN ADVANCE TO RESCUE THE UKRAINE

AMSTERDAM, 18th February An official message from Berlin states that the .Petrograd Government's conduct has in effect terminated the armistice. Therefore the Gerrrian Government claims that its hands are free in every respect.

LONDON, 19th February. A German official report states : Hostilities on. the Russian front began at lioon yesterday. We crossed the Dvina towards DvirisV without' a fight, and also commenced to advance towai'ds Kovel, in response to the Ukraine's appeal.
