CANTERBURY CROPS

(BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

CHRISTCHURCH, 19th February.

Heavy rain at the end of last week and light showers during the past two days havo checked harvest operations so far as stacking and thrashing are concerned. There has been very little business doing in grain lately, the offerings of any kind being very limited. The rain is expected to, do further damage in potato crops that were showing signs of decay through blight, which is prevalent on heavy land. The main crop of onions is now coming on the market, and should be a, good one. The price is now S3 15b a ton at country stations.
