Sir,—Mr. Holland's address at Northland last evening was nothing but a condemnation of the Government for not commandeering primary products at pre-war prices, or., at the most, at a 10 per cent, increase on such, prices. He entirely ignored the injustice that would be perpetrated by such a discrimination against one section of the community. If he is consistent, he will admit that if the products should be conscripted, so also the materials and labour used in the work of production and distribution. If this were done, we should not see a ship which should have been loaded by Friday delayed until Sunday and 5s 4d per hour paid to the wharf labourers for their work. Mr. Holland and his friends cannot have it both ways.—l am, etc., EQUALITY. 19th February. ■ ..
