The French efficial figures pf submaI rine losses for the week, with last week's returns in parentheses, arel: — Arrivals 891 (968) Departures :....„..;... 841 (897 I Sunk over 1600 tons .....". ' 1 (2 Sunk under 1600 tons ...„,. 1 (1 Unsuccessfully attacked ... 1 (2) ROME, 14th February. An Italian official report states :— | The arrivals this week totalled 487, and I the sailing 431. The sinkings include four steamers over 1500 tons and three sailing ships under 100 tons. One of the sailing ships was damaged.
[Last week- one steamer over 1500 tons, six sailing vessels over and nine under 100 tons were sunk. Four small sailing ships were damaged, and t\yo steamers evaded attack.]
