LODGE MEETING
, The Tuatahi Lodge, Petone, held its first annual banquet at their lodge room on- Saturday last. The usual toasts to "They King," "Grand Lodge," "Kindred Societies," "Absent Brothers at the Front," "The Host," and ;"The Tuatahi Lodge" were honoured in a most hearty fashion. After dinner a lengthy programme was contributed by Bros. J. Bidge, Brind, Lockyer, Simpson, W. Parkinson, H. Emmett, F. Noble, E. Lacy, L. Simpson, S. O'Neil, Mason, N. Kearney, and Steinmuller. In response to the toast of "Tuatahi Lodge," Bro.'L. Price (Secretary) spoke of the progress which ' the lodge had made since its inception twelve months ago, pointing out that- the assets over liabilities were over £120, which showed the earnestness in which all brothers were working to make' the lodge second to none in, the Order. Bro. J. Greenwood, in response to the toast of "Kindred Lodges," said he was pleased to see the right good fellowship that existed between the. various societies in Petone, especially the Druids. After a vote of thanks, had been accorded to the committee the evening concluded with the singing of the National Anthem and "Auld Lang,Syne."
