Visitors to Levin will find Williams' Marble Bar and Tea Rooms situated in one of the finest brick buildings on the main business thoroughfare of the town, and it is no exaggeration to say that 'this is one of the most up-to-date American
Bars there is to be found anywhere. It is regarded as the temple of fashionable summer drinks, and an institution of some renown. It is largely availed of by passing motorists on their way to and from Wellington City. Iced beverages of innumerable flavours, crushed fruit salads, pure ice cream, and all the many tempting delicacies that the modern marble bar usually provides is here to be found. There is excellent accommodation for both ladies and gentlemen in the neatly-furnished apartments, and generally■' speaking, Williams' up-to-date methods afford an object lesson in the conduct of the modernised non-alooholio drinking saloon. There are many special features noticeable in Williams' rooms and operative departments. One rather important point is the absolute cleanliness observable everywhere, and the strict eye that is kept on all purchases of fruits, syrups, etc. Absolutely nothing but the purest and best is stocked, and the service is prompt and courteous. Afternoon tea and light refreshments are specialised in, and are served at any time of the day. Stocks of sweetmeats are carried in endless variety, all the latest novelties in this line are obtainable. Catering for weddings, balls, or suppers receive the proprietor's special attention.
