SHORTT'S THEATRE.
The popular Emmy Wehlen is featnred in "The Trail of the Shadow," the new Metro picture screened at Shortt's today. Sylvia Mason, the heroine, supports herself by making beadwork. Henry Hilliardy a rich young Easterner travelling in the West, buys quantities of it to send back home to his mother and sister, and falls in love with the beautiful weaver of beads. A romantic love story is developed, in which treachery and devotion are vividly contrasted. The climax is reached on the wastes of the Groat American Desert.
