AN INTERESTING FINAL.
Much interest attached to the final for the third-class championship played on Saturday afternoon between Karori and Institute. On the previous Saturday these two teams tied for the third-class championship, and it was quite expected that a final decision would be arrived at on this occasion. Play was strenuous throughout, and the really clever display of "soccer" delighted the crowd. The teams were as evenly matched «s could be, and when the final whistle sounded neither side could claim a score. Mr. ' J. Wilson refereed. FEATHERSTON v. MARIST. A team from Feathersfon met Marist at Dnppa-street_, and secured a rather easy win. Marist lacked the dash and speed of the Featherston team, which played a vigorous game throughout. The. scorers for the winners were Coghill, Reid, Wilson, and Stephenson, while M'Elligott scored the only goal for Marist. Mr. B. Hill was referee. CADETS AT GRIPS. A fast, open game was witnessed at Duppa-street between 30th Company | Cadets (Technical School) and 31st Company (V.M.C.A.). The former proved victorious by two goals to nil, the scorers being Dewhurst and Keys. FIFTH B DIVISION. Island Bay met St. David's at Petone, the game ending in a draw —two each. This makes Island JBay one point behind Wadestown for the cup.
