MELBOURNE, This Day. Obituary.—Hon. Dr. Charles Carty Salmon, M.H.R. .
[Dr. C. C. Salmon was returned to the first Federal House of Representatives in 1901. He entered the Victorian Parliament in 1893, and was some time Minister for Public Instruction and Commissioner of Trade and Customs. As president of the Australian Natives Association, he was prominent in the fight for Federation. He succeeded the late Sir Frederick Holder as Speaker in July, 1909.] ]
