CHBISTCHiraCH, sth September. At Addington market there were moderate yardings of almost" all classes of stock. 'There was a large attendance of buyers. For store sheep a-nd beef the market opened easier, but firmed up to last week's prices. Fa^ sheep opened at about. Is per ; head, in advance of the previous week's rates, but eased a..- little towards the end. There was a small entry of fat lambs, and only about .oner .half, were sold, the others' bailing, to read; owners' value. Store sheep were in keen demand, and prices were,firm, hoggets! showing a, rise of about Is per head.' -Store paftle were in better de-^ mand, and all classes of pigs sold well. ' Store sheep—Sound-mouthed ewes, to 32s 6d; two and four-tooth.wethers, 25s 9d to 36s lid; four and six-tooth wethers, 36s 3d to 395; six and eight-tooth wethers, 37s Id to 38s Id; ewe hoggets, to 33s 4d; wether hoggets, 24s Id to "31b 3d; mixed sex hoggets, 27s 6d.

Fat 3heer>—Extra prime wethers, to 55s 9d; prime wethers, 42s to 50s; lighter wethers, 36s Id to 41s; prime merino wethers, 32s 3d to 395; 'lighter merino wethej-s, 24s to 29s 3d; extra prime ewes, 48s; prime ewes, 38s 6d to 39s 9d; lighter ewes, 27s to 38s; hoggets, 25s 3d to 33s 6d. Fat cattle—Prime steers, £17 to £23 10s; ordjnaxy steers s £9 7s 6d to-.£16; extra prime cows, to £20 12s 6d; prime cows, £13 t0.£19; ordinal? cows, £7 10s to £12; extra prime heifers, to £20 15s; prime heifers, £11 to £14; ordinary heifers, £8 17s 6d to £10 10s.
Store cattle—Mixed yearlings, £4 16s; yearling steers, £4 12s; two-year steere, £7 10s to £9 ss; two-year heifers, £6 12s; two and three-yeai' steers, £9 13s; dry cows, £2 5s to £9 10s; dairy cows, £8 to £14, and up to £20 for extra, good sorts.
