NEXT WEEK'S BALLOT
The ballot for making up shortages in the 34th and 35th Reinforcements, for which voluntary recruiting closed to-day, will be commenced by the Government Statistician on Tuesday next, at 9 a.m. It is expected that the total number of names to be drawnl'will be between 14,000 and 15,000.
