The Germans captured, during the first three years of the war, 12,156 cannon, 4,938,056 shells, 10,640 wagons, 1,655,805 rifles, 155,829 revolvers, 8352 machine gunß, 2288 aeroplanes, 186 observation balloons, and three dirigible airships.
