LONDON, 13th August. Sir Douglas Haig states that there is nothing special to report. A French communique states: The artillery is active between Cerny and Craonne, notably in the sector south of Ailles, where a German attack on the trenches we captured on 11th August was repulsed with heavy losses and without result. Two enemy, surprise attacks at the Bois-de-Caurieres and Bezonvaux (Verdun front) failed.. ;
