BAPTIST BIBLE-CLASS CAMP
The North Island Baptist, Young Men's Bible-class camp at Tawa Flat -was brought .to, a close yesterday with a hearty vote of thanks to Messrs. Mexted Bros, for the uses of t-heir grounds. The devotional meetings on Sunday were well attended. Rev. "Ford Carlisle, of Palmerston, gave an address in the morning on conflict in the spiritual realm. Mr. TP, P.et'ers, in the; afternoon, dealt with sport as.a factor in the development of manliness and Christian character.' Am evangelical service, conducted by R*v. S. Morris, of Dunedin, at-night -was impressive. At a baptismal service the following day fourteen • were immersed. In view of the serious curtailment of railway facilities, it was decided to hold only local camps—at Auckland, Wanganui, Napier, and Wellington—nest year. The executive having been allotted to the- Auckland- centre, the following officers were elected: President, Rev; W. H. Hinton'; vice-presidents, Rev. E. Evans and Messrs. <L H. Barker and W. Diion; secretary, Mr. H. Rimmer; treasurer, Mr. E. Turner.
