LONDON, 23rd February.

Sir Robert Borden (Prime Minister of Canada), in an interview, declared that Canada was throwing her wholo strength into the war. Four hundred thousand men had already crossed the Atlantic, and further measures in recruiting were being considered. Over 300,000 men and' women were working in munition factories. Canada- had raised sixty millions sterling since the war befjnn, besides assisting Britain to the extent of fifty millions for munitions. The idea of national service was increasingly impressing itself oh Canadians. Everywhere leagues had been formejl for coordinating and utilising the . energies of the people.
