Mr. Joseph Henry Dearsiey, who died in Christehurch on Tuesday last, entered the Telegraph Department's service in that city in 1867, and retired in 1908. He was born in Essex, England, in 1853, and arrived in Lyttelton with his parents when ho was two years of age.
