' Sir Douglas Haig reports: Under cover of a heavy bombardment, which destroyed our trench, strong enemy detachments, assisted by flame throwers, rushed an advanced post south of L& Transloy.
We entered and damaged the enemy's positions east of Armentieres and east of Ypres.
