CITY RECRUITS' MARCH
THE OFFER- OF A BAND
We have received the following letter from the Bandmaster of the Salvation .'\ rmy Band :—Sir, —ln reply to your article in last night's Past regarding the difficulty of obtaining bands to play the recruits to the station, I would like to say that the services of the Wellington City Salvation Army Band will be given for the next batch, which.we understand is going into camp sometime next week. Owing to an oversight, the circular lettor sent by Major Corrigan was not answered, but we have now got, in touch with him and offered him our services. My reason for writing is to remove any misapprehension there may be in the minds of the readers of your article regarding the willingness of our band to turn out, as we are always willing (as both the authorities and the public know) to do our bit for the "boys."—l am. etc., Henry C. Goffin, Bandmaster Wellington S.A. Bind.
