As Mr. Shearing, a weli-imown farnier of Wait.apeka, was motoring througli Stony Creek last week (reports a Southern exchange), the car back-fired through the carburettor and was ■ quickly in a auass of flames.% Mr. Sheading rah his motor into the creek, which was close by. with the hops oE extinguishing , the flames, but unfortunately the water lia'd almost dried up, and he was able to save only the tires, the remainder of Ihe car, a 1914 niodel four-cylinder. Buick, being completely destroyed. . - :
