This afternoon, in the Magistrate's Court, "a, youth named Percy Kreckson, who is twenty years of age,'but looks considerably younger, was called upon to'answer no fewer than thirteen charges of "theft, theft from dwellings, and breaking and entering. Accused pleaded guilty to a number of charges, while several others were adjourned for a week. A case in which the accused is charged with theft from a dwelling • is proceeding this afternoon. Mr. L. G. Reid, S.M., is on the Bench. The death is announced of Mr. George Blytho Hume, a. well-known resident of Auckland. Mr. Hume was a son of Mr. Robert. Hume, of Dunediu, and arrived in Auckland fourteen years ago. He took a ' prominent part, in Auckland musical circles, and was associated, with, many amateur theatrical productions in this nitii- He is survived b.v Mrs. Hume.
