CROWN THEATRE.
At the matinee * this afternoon "The Lily and the Rose" was presented for the first time, with Miss Lilian Gish in the principal part. It is an attractive story, and was received with much applause by the large audience, which included many children, each of whom received a gift of a portrait of ■ Charlie Chaplin. This popular comedian was seen on the screen in. "The Shopwalker," one of his best characters. The programme will be repeated to-night.
