EDUCATION BOARDS
TEACHERS' REPRESENTATION,
.Hearty support was given by the Brooklyn School Committee at 'its. last meeting to a proposal advanced by the Educational Institute (Wellington district), that the Education Act be so amended as to empower the teachers in each education district to elect a member to represent them on the Education Board of the district. The committee endorsed the resolution, considering that it would lead to a better understanding by the boards of technical matters, and would render more valuable the advice tendered to the boards by their experts.
