THE WAR BONUS
TO THE EDITOR. SirTp—The war bonus to be granted to Government servants is still unpaid, and it is understood will not be forthcoming for another four or five weeks. In view of the fact that applications for War Loan close on 21st instant, would it not be good policy for the Government to see that the bonns is paid prior to that date to give many "would-be" investors an opportunity of participation? There are many who would gladly plac* this bonus at the disposal of the Government for ■war purposes, but could not otherwise invest anything.—l am, etc., SILVER BUtLET.
