REPLIES TO THE KING'S

MESSAGES

PBOM JAPAN, BUSSIA, AND SERVIA.

LONDON, 6th August. The King has received replies to his message to the Allies.

The Emperor of Japan telegraphs : "Your Majesty's welcome message on the second anniversary of the war touched me very deeply. After all the trials of great defensive battles, the Allies' indomitable armies are now marching forward steadily and successfully on all fronts. I beg your Majesty to believe I am entirely in accord with your strong determination to carry on the struggle until the common cause for right and freedom is fully vindicated." The Tsar thanks His Majesty for Ms message' and says : "I heartily reciprocate the resolution you make in conjunction with our gallant Allies. I am equally determined that we Bussians shall make good the sacrifices my brave troops and people have given in the just cause, which will bring the reward we seek. I am determined that the peace for which we are fighting shall be secured by complete victory." King Peter (of Servia) replies: "I share from the bottom of my heart your Majesty's sentiments. I am gratified by ,the new testimony of Britain's unshakable determination to triumph' in the noble cause for which the'valuable blood of our soldiers is pouring out in streams."
