ALIENS AND THE FREEHOLD.
Dr. A. K. Newman recently asked the Government whether it would introduce legislation ■ prohibiting .aliens from acquiring freehold land in the Dominion, and the Prime Minister has now replied thait the subject must be considered at an Imperial Conference, as any legislation such as suggested must be uniform ail over the .Empire.
