SHORTT'S THEATRE.

"The Heart of a Painted Woman" heads an attractive bill of fare at Shortt's Theatre in Willis-street. The star picture on Monday next will be a 5000ft Metro, entitled " Always in the Way," featuring that talented young actress, Mary-Miles Winter, who is described by Sydney papers as a greater favourite than Mary Pickford.

CROWN THEATRE, THORNDON.

The main item on the new programme at the Crown Theatre is the big Fraser masterfihn. "Scandal," a splendid drama with a moral. It shows the danger ot the uncharitable rumour or remark which gathers in uncleamiess and harmfulness as it goes along, until it drags down innocence and blasts previously stainless reputations. It is a powerful photo-play sermon, and should achieve a great success. In addition the bill of fare includes comedies, dramas, scenics, and the War Gazette.
