AN EXPANDING INDUSTRY
LONDON, 30th March.
Sir Thomas Mackenzie, New Zealand Kigh Commissioner, visited the works at Harefield, near London, where Mr. Billyard Leake explained to him how artificial limbs could be manufactured at half the present price. Sir Thomas Mackenzie is considering the possibility of training some unfit New Zealanders with Australians, thus enabling them to teach the manufacture of artificial leg-making upon their return to the Dominion.
