ROME, 31st March.

An Italian communique says : After an intense artillery duel, the enemy brought up large reserves and attacked the northern extremity of the Podgora heights. The attack rapidly extended to the entire front as far as Sabotine- The fighting was particularly desperate across the Peumica torrent. The attacks were repeatedly repulsed, the enemy renewing each time with fresh troops, but he was ultimately routed.

We captured east of Selta. a stronglyentrenched position at the bayonet's point.
