CIVIL CASES
In the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon, judgment was delivered in a case (heard recently by Mr. W. G. Ridl delI> S.M.), in which David Williams I waa plaintiff and Mai Cohn defendant. Plaintiff, who is a carrier, claimed the sum of £60 15s 6d from Colvn, as damages in respect of a collision between plaintiff s express and a motor-car owned by defendant and driven by one of. defendant's servants. A nonsuit point, raised on defendant's behalf was not sustained and judgment was given for plaintiff (Williams) for the sum of £37 10s,. with costs totalling £6 7s. Mr H K- I F\?'L^ alTr afi peared for Plaintiff/! while Mr. 0. N. Beere appeared for the defendant. Judgment was given for plaintiff . for the sum of £4 7s, with costs £2 85 in the defended case of Ernest Allen Hunt salesman, of Wellington, v. Henry Godfrey, storekeeper, of Mem-street, a claim for £10 as damages alleged to have been sustained in a collision between a bicycle ridden by plaintiff and a motor-cycle ridden by defendant.
