REVENUE RETURNS
INCREASES IN MOST DEPARTMENTS INTERESTING COMPARISONS., Some interesting figures giving various comparisons in the revenue returns were submitted to Parliament yesterday afternoon by Sir Joseph Ward, the Minister of Finance. The first set of statistics showed the revenue for the years ended 30th September, 1915 and 1914, respectively. They were as follow : —

SIX MONTHS' RETURNS. For the six months ended 30th September, 1915 and 1914, the figures were : —
Sir Joseph Ward concluded that the figures _were very satisfactory as they ■were within the Budget estimates, and he had much pleasure in communicating them to the House. (Hear, hear.)
