OMURRAY CREEK COMPANY. In his report for the month of September, the mine manager of the Murray Creek Gold Mining Company states that No. 3 level was extended 38ft south on the reef, which makes a total distance driven on the reef of 104 ft. Before'continning the drive further south, it will be necessary to take off the leading stope over the level. A rise of 45ft was put up on the reef and a connection made with the winze sunk from the intermediate level above, which gives a total of 215 ft 9in of backs to- the intermediate level, and an additional 98ffc from the iutermediate level to No. 2 level. The ore bin and No. 1 chamber have been completed. Men have been employed timbering No. 3 level and getting ready for stoping. Two hundred and forty tons of quartz is broken and ready for crushing. The new battery underwent a trial,, and but for one or two minor breakages, which are inseparable from new plant, everything worked splendidly. Repairs are being done and crushing is expected to be in full swing towards the end ' of the week.
