COMMERCIAL SUPREMACY OF THE EMPIRE
OTAGO RESOLUTIONS. (IT TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, 6th October. • A public demonstration arranged by the Chamber of Commerce in co-opera-tion with the Otago Expansion League and Otago Trades and Labour Council was held to-night to carry a series of resolutions affirming the desirableness of citizens of Dunedin and the Dominion doing their utmost to help in the war for the commercial supremacy of tho British Empire. Resolutions in favour of buying British goods to the exclusion of German were carried 'by acclamation.
