'At a luncheon given by overseas shipping representatives to the Federal Ministers, a miniature anchor was presented to Ma 1 . Andrew Fisher, inscribed : "We hope you will long remain anchored to Australia." ' .' Mr. Fisher replied : "I will remain as long as I am of any service to Australia." The answer is taken as an indication that he does not intend to accept the High Commissionership.
