FEDERAL CLUB
At the annual meeting ,of the Federal Club, held last eveping, the following officers were elected for\ the current year : — President, Mr. J. Doyle ; vicepresidents, Messrs. W. A. Fordham, 0. Rose, H. G. Smith, T. H. Morrison; committee, Messrs. M. Archer, T. R. Archibald. W. J. Hay ward, T. J. Kelleher, W. J. King, A.' Minogue, A. N. Robertson, A. G. Washer, J. Wilson ; i hon. auditor, Mr. W. H. Jones ; lion, treasurer, Mr. W. J. Young ; secretary, Mr. H. R. Searle. Mention was made of the fact that eight members of the clnb were at the front, and it was decided to forward to them well-filled Christmas' hampers and plenty of reading matter. Further, letters of sympathy are to be forwarded to the relatives, of those members who have already been included in the casualty lists.
