BRITISH PRISONERS EVERY EFFORT TO BE MADE TO OBTAIN NAMES.
(Received September 29, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 28th September. Sir Edward Grey (Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs) states that every effort is to be made through the American Ambassador to obtain a list of British prisoners at the Dardanelles. Turkey has been warned that until these, obligations are fulfilled Britain will not furnish similar information. Hitherto she has received only the names of men on submarines, and 136 officers and men.
