FATAL PALL DOWN A HATCHWAY
A fatal accident happened to a seaman named Frank Warelin last night. He fell down .the No. 1 hatchway, in the fore part of the steamer Koromiko, whioh was berthed at the Miramar Wharf. About 10 o'clock he was walking with, the second cook to his quarters, and apparently not noticing that the hatchway was open he fell down a distance of about 30 feet, fracturing his skull and jaw. Dr. Ewarfc, who was telephoned for, on examining the body, pronounced life to be extinct. As the steamer was leaving. port to-day for Newcastle, Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., Coroner, viewed the body and gavd an order for burial. The inquest will be held on the return of the steamer to port.
