MAYOR'S MESSAGE TO GENERAL GODLEY. Following is a copy of a cablegram sent by the Mayor (Mr. J. P. Luke) today to General Sir A. Godley through His Excellency the Governor :— "The noble sacrifices and gallant deeds of , all ranks of New Zealanders, in co-operation with their brave comrades of other Dominions and of the United Kingdom, and of bur illustrious Allies, evokes the profoundest admiration and thanks of all our citizens. With our trust in the Almighty and in your united and continued efforts, we have full confidence that complete and final victory will soon be assured. "
