SMUGGLED PHOTOGRAPHS
OF NEW BRITISH WARSHIPS, j SEARCH FOR HIDDEN PICTURES. (Received August 13, 10 a.m.) FREMANTLE, This Day. On arrival of the Maloja, the passengers were rigidly searched. It is rumoured that this is the result of some Americans securing photographs of certain of the new British warships and getting away unidentified. AH ships departing from England are being searched for plates at various ports.
