UNVEILING OF AN OBELISK TO IMPERIAL SOLDIERS. (IT mKGRAPH— tRESI ASSOCIATION.) WAITARA, This Day. An obelisk, erected by the Government in memory of officers and men of the Imperial Forces, mainly the 40th Regiment, who fell in the attack 'on Pukptakere Pa on 27th June, 1860, was un--veiled by Mr. W T. Jennings, M.P., yesterday, in the presence of a large gathering, inctluding veterans of the Maori War. The assemblage acknowledged it^ sym» p?thy,with the Hon. James Allen in the recent loss of his son.
