MACMILLAN'S LEATHER AND PRESERVATIVE.

An , industry which the Palmerston public are particularly proud of is the manufacture of what is known . as Macmillans leather. It is practically impossible to break It, and it lasts much longer than any ordinary leather. At the present time a display of this is made in premises No. 28, Cuba-street. Palmerston North. It is used for all purposes for which leather is usually used, and some fine samples of the Macmillan Co.'s handiwork is to be seen at their shop, Bridles, whip thongs, leading and tie halters and a variety of goods too numerous to particularise here, but it is absolutely watertight, soft as rubber, and will weai? a life time. This is mainly due to the fact that it is impregnated with Macraillan's leather preservative which as a softener and preservative stands * absolutely unsurpassed. < Up to the present, upwards of 20,000 tins of Macmillan's preservative have been 'purchased by the New Zealand Government for members of the Expeditionary Force. ) Each man's outfit includes a half-pound tin of this, and those who are attending the present Show are asked to call for sample tins and try it. It is 'equally good for harness, boots, and all kinds of leather. It is obtainable from all leading saddlers at 1/- and 1/6 per tin, and from the Sole Manufacturers, Macmillan and Co., Palmerston North.
