HORSES AT LYALL BAY
10 THB EDITOR. Sir,- — May I enquire through the columns of your paper if there is any remedy for the residents of LyaU Bay against the wholesale freedom of the horse 1 The place appears to be a limitless feeding ground for the animals, but ■when not content with destroying all gardens within reach they forcibly resent even the trams disturbing their peace, don'fc you think it about time that mere humans made some sorb of a stand in self -def ence ? -To my knowledge written complaints have been made to the Inspector of Nuisances without extracting even a reply, but perhaps, since one of the cars .was damaged on Sunda-y evening by one of,, the horses in question the Tramway Board might add its voice to ours. — I am, etaj" A WOTTLD-BE HEDGEGBOWEE.
