ROBBERY FROM A HOTEL
Mr. G. Duncalf, traveller for Messrs. J. B. Clarkson and Co., has reported to the police that some time last night or early this morning, while he was asleep in his bedroom in the Hotel Windsor, a pocket-book ' containing four cheques drawn by the firm — each for £10 16s 8d — and £6 in notes was stolen from the pocket of a coat in his room, while 30s in silver was abstracted frotn a trousers pocket. Business men are asked not to cash any of the stolen cheques.

Hickoy, Fraier, Brindle, and Rw. A sacred concert in aid of the Wounded Soldiers Fund will be given in tho Lycuuni Theatrp, Petone, to-morrow evening, at 8.15 o'clock. The anniversary services in connection with St., Thomas s Sunday School, New.town, will be held to-morrow.
