All the workers were loaded with flowers, for it *vas a Flower Day. Gifts were provided in plenty, • one of the most notable .donations being over 1000 patriotic buttoii-holes 3< draped with red, white, and blue ribbon, from Miss Cooper. These were all sold within an hour, and many more were to hand. AD the flowers sold readily, and the only difficulty was to keep up the supply. The Red Cross badges also sold well, and before noon more than one collection-box full of money — the coins ranged from pennies to half-crowns — was returned. The committee ha« at least a dozen, motor-cars running all day, and the "Queen" candidate, Mrs. Algar Williams, is among the workers.
