SHOT A SHERIFF'S REGRET. ■ (TIMBS AND STDNBY SUN BrßVin(l.> LONDON, 28th May Tn Glasgow, the sheriff, in convicting "slackers" on Government work, said that the only method of dealing with such men was immediate shooting. He regretted he could not give then greater punishment than that fixed by the law.
