"OLD WOMAN IN THE SHOE"
Yesterday afternoon, in the Mayor's .room, the raffle for the "Old Woman in the Shoe," together with her thirty children, was drawn, the winning number being 2863. held by Miss B. Clarke, Te Aro School. In acknowledging the receipt of £84 17s, the result, of the raffle, for the Belgian Fund, the Mayor expressed his thanks to the promoters, Misses A. and G Stevens, of Island Bay, for their effort. The Misses Stevens wish to thank all who helped to make the raffle a success, particularly Mi" M. J' Brookes, of the staff of Agt; Briatol Piano Company
